Hicksgas, a large regional propane marketer with locations in Illinois and Indiana, distributes propane through retail districts to residential and commercial customers as well as contractors in their areas.  Our primary operations include propane sales, service and distribution and also water conditioning/treatment sales and service.  Our sales person will be required to support the district managers with residential propane/water treatment sales and developing commercial, industrial propane sales.  The individual should be a self-driven person who will expand Autogas, forklift cylinder business, commercial temp heat, and agricultural propane business.  

The coverage area for this position is northwest Indiana.  

 

DUTIES

In-person sales calls for Commercial/Industrial accounts.

Actively pursue residential sales.

Meeting with existing customers to provide support for District offices and maintain strong customer relationships.

Generate new customer leads to increase market share.

Identify target customers, qualify new business leads and maintain list of target accounts.

Promote sales campaigns with company employees to build business.

Provide exceptional marketing and representation at home shows and other sales promotion events.

Monitor market trends and grow the positive reputation of the company.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years Outside Sales experience

Formal sales training or Degree preferred; High School Diploma/GED required

Previous sales experience in propane, industrial gas, petroleum products, or chemicals beneficial but not required.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to travel throughout the Northwest Indiana area, mostly day travel, some overnight may be necessary.
